Research on New Treatments

Discovering of new compounds is a difficult and tedious process. It involves screening thousands or million of possible drugs and chemicals, and some of these can be from traditional medication and herbs.

A compound may be found to be active in the lab will then be extensively tested for its effectiveness, toxic effect, absorption and side effects in cells of animals before it will be allow to be tested on human.

The USA Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Singapore Ministry of Health will only pass the process and approval to test on human after detailed evaluation.

A federal organization charged with protecting the public's health. It establishes safety and effectiveness guidelines for healthcare products, such as the drugs that are used to treat Hepatitis B.
